WHAT WE DO

Our Services

Landscape Design

We can generate CAD drawings of your residence that will reflect the desires you have for your outdoor environment. During the design process we will meet with you on site and discuss the options that will best suit your needs. We will take those ideas and create a comprehensive landscape design. There is a design fee associated with the production of a master plan or large scale landscape design.  This fee will include the release of the copyright by Bold Outdoors LLC to you, the client, so that you may have it installed by another company of your preference. If you choose our company as the installer, this fee will be credited back to you on the final invoice.

Installation Services

Hardscaping has become a very important part of the design process in our area because it allows the designer to create separate spaces in your outdoor environment through the creative installation of retaining walls, patios, paths and other “hard” elements. We can design and install any of these hardscape elements that best reflect your personal style and that best compliments the architecture of your house. The types of hardscape material is almost endless. In our area, we use a wide range of natural stone, modular or concrete cast blocks and pavers and synthetic stone to achieve the effect our clients desire. A simple, yet effective landscape element is the boulder. Especially for those who love nature it is important to have large boulders scattered throughout the landscape. These can be merely for decoration or for function as in natural sitting areas or retaining walls.

Another trend in the area is to install something that produces heat and light. This includes features such as firepits, fireplaces, and outdoor kitchen areas. Again, these vary in size, shape, color, and function so there are limitless possibilities for you to choose from.

Beyond just creating a landscape design for you, we can install it as well. Our knowledgeable installers can read the landscape plan accurately and will verify with the designer that the placement of the plant material is correct before planting. After all of the new plant material has been planted according to horticultural guidelines appropriate to our location, they will either install a hardwood mulch or decorative rock in your new landscape beds to finish off the project. This will give the landscape a crisp, clean look. We also can bulk deliver some material if desired.

Professional outdoor lighting systems can greatly increase the beauty and value of your home. We specialize in designing and installing high quality low voltage lighting systems. We can offer our years of experience to help create the perfect nighttime environment at your residence. Unlike some companies, we carefully configure our systems to account for circumstances of electrical voltage drop, future expansion, and ease of maintenance to help ensure that your system will last for many years to come. We can create a CAD lighting layout that will show you where all of the fixtures will be located and the transformer that controls the system.

We can provide a comprehensive site analysis of any water problems or potential flood areas and create solutions to help remedy the issues.  Every property is unique and needs a custom drainage plan to address any water related problems.  French drains, downspout extensions, dry creek beds and natural drainage swails are just a few ways to combat troublesome areas.

As a company that desires to educate our customers through proper horticultural practices, we strive to be the best at overall landscape maintenance which includes tree and shrub pruning, annual mulch installation, seasonal color, sod installation, fall leaf cleanups, and debris removal. We have the knowledge and experience to teach you, the consumer, when is the best time to perform these services to achieve the best result. Also, it is our desire to create a comprehensive maintenance schedule that will help save our clients’ money in the end.

There are a variety of landscape features that we are proud to install because of the beauty and function they lend to the outdoor environment. Water features provide a sense of relaxation due to the sound of running water. We install ponds, pondless waterfalls, fountains, and bubbling rocks. Every water feature is different because of our clients’ creative imagination and we are happy to accommodate.

Irrigation services include adding heads to existing zones, controller adjustments and upgrades, system turn-ons, nozzle and spray head upgrades, and parts replacement. We want to make sure that your system is at its best so you are not paying for unneeded water resources.

Annual snow removal contracts, per push pricing or post storm emergency clearing are just a few of the ways Bold Outdoors can help service our clients.  We focus on small business and church lots as well as residential driveways.  We offer snow clearing and de-icing.

If you are in need of a consultation from a college educated horticulturalist and landscape designer to aid in plant selection or general design advice, we will be able to arrange a meeting at your place of residence. This service will be charged per hour or any partial hour. After consultation, we can provide general concept designs or plant specific information and pictures if desired for an additional charge.

Maintenance Support

We want your property to outshine the others so we offer a full range of maintenance services. These include mowing, edging, weed control and fertilization programs scheduled periodically to keep your lawn healthy and lush.  Currently our focus is on larger estate lots with acreage and churches.

Schedule an Appointment

Use the contact form at the bottom of this page to reach out to us.  Also, you can call or text the phone number displayed in the top right corner.

Meet at the Project Site

At this time we will gather details regarding your landscape project, turf maintenance goals or snow removal needs.  If necessary, measurements and photos will be taken of the site.

Provide a Free Estimate or Initial Conceptual Design

For turf maintenance, snow removal and simple landscape projects you will receive an email with a total project estimate attached that will explain the scope of work discussed.  For more in depth landscape projects that require a design, a quick initial design will be provided that will show requested features in a general layout.

Landscape Design & Review

A computer-based landscape design will be created to reflect the goals of the customer.  It will be presented either in person or digitally for customer review.  Any desired changes to the original design will be implemented until a final design can be agreed upon.

Material Choices & Final Estimate

If your project requires choosing different material types such as concrete paver/wall styles, wood products, natural stone selections or other project materials that need to be chosen before a final estimate can be generated this will be completed at this time.  Once everything has been decided an all encompassing estimate will be created and provided.  Any nuances in the project that may cause a change in the final price will be discussed, if known, before the commencement of the project.

    11. Lien Notice.  Failure of this Contractor to pay those persons supplying material or services to complete this contract can result in the filing of a mechanics lien on the property which is the subject of this contract pursuant to Kansas Chapter 60 Article 11.  To avoid this result, you may ask this Contractor for “lien waivers” from all persons supplying material or services for the work described in this contract. Failure to secure lien waivers may result in your paying for labor and materials twice.

Bold Outdoors LLC (“Bold”) and the customer (“Customer”) identified in the accompanying Proposal agree:

    1. Acceptance of Proposal.  Upon Customer’s written, electronic or verbal acceptance of the Proposal from Bold, the Proposal shall constitute a binding contract between Bold and the Customer which shall be governed by the terms set forth herein.

    3. The Customer agrees to provide all proper care related to plants and materials utilized at their property to ensure survivability, health and appearance of such materials.  The success or failure of plants depends on their care, good soil, sufficient water and adequate drainage.  These are necessary for plants to live and thrive, and are required in order for Bold’s warranty to be valid.
    4. Express limited Warranty:  Limitation on Liability: Bold provides the following limited warranty on landscape labor and materials if the Customer abides by the proper care mentioned in #2 above.
    5. Plants will be replaced only once if after inspection it is determined that said plants died of no fault by the Customer.  Replacement plants are not warrantied.
    6. Plant replacements are subject to availability.  Sizes and varieties can be changed by Bold if original plant is not available.
    7. All plant warranty claims have a 2 month waiting period from time of installation.  Plant replacement warranty is void for plants installed in June and July.
    8. Warranties are non-transferable.
    9. There will be no cash refunds.
    10. All warranties will be voided due to invoices or statements that have not been paid in full within 30 days of completion date.  All past due accounts permanently void all warranties.
    11. The Customer is responsible for initiating all warranty claims in writing (letter, email or website contact form).  Bold will visit the project site a maximum of two times during the warranty period to replace plant material or repair defects in workmanship.  Any other trip to the site for these services will incur a $50 trip charge billed to the Customer.
    12. The warranty is restricted as noted in the sections below.
